Sustainability is not a slogan for me—it is the heart of why I create. Before building the House of Jen Rodd, I spent years in London running an engineering recruitment business, placing engineers in industries such as oil & gas, automotive, petrochemical, chemical, and pharmaceutical. In that world, I watched how much is taken from the earth—how deeply we rely on her resources, and how easily the balance can slip when we forget to give back.

I understand that we need iron, gas, and energy. But I also know that if we only take, without care or gratitude, the scales eventually fall out of balance. That awareness is what shifted my path. I wanted to step away from a world of extraction and move toward a way of creating that nourishes, protects, and restores.

Every fabric I choose is part of that commitment—recycled where possible, responsibly sourced, and selected with care for both longevity and beauty. For me, clothing is not about consumption. It is self-expression, a reflection of who we are and what we value. And I believe that self-expression should never come at the expense of the earth that sustains us.
